Baseball Recap: Durham Trojans vs. Maxwell Panthers

The matchup between Durham and Maxwell on Saturday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Trojans took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Dylan Rabo and Jack Drake did some serious damage despite the final result: Rabo got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Drake got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Perry Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Maxwell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
