Basketball Recap: Elizabethton Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

While Elizabethton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past the KACHEA Wildcats with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 60-42.

Elizabethton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for KACHEA, they moved to 9-4 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Elizabethton will be home for the holidays to greet Chilhowie at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elizabethton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Chilhowie likes a good challenge. As for KACHEA, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Providence Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Providence Academy has won four straight at home, while KACHEA won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
