Snyder took a ten-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Lubbock Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Snyder Tigers had just enough and edged out the Lubbock Christian Eagles  6-5. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the   10-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in February of 2019.
 Aedyn Claxton made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits any time he's  pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Claxton wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Isaiah Martinez, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
The  win made it two in a row for Snyder and  bumps their season record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lubbock Christian, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record  this season.
 A feisty cat fight will be fought as Snyder Tigers  challenge  Fort Stockton Panthers at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Lubbock Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Greenwood  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
