Soccer Game Preview: Whitefield Academy vs. Heritage Christian

The Whitefield Academy Lions will head out to take on the Heritage Christian Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Whitefield Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over New Hope Christian. Give Whitefield Academy's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian entered their tilt with Cornerstone Family on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 8-0 victory.

Whitefield Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Heritage Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Whitefield Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Heritage Christian when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
