Basketball Game Preview: Labette County Grizzlies vs. Field Kindley Golden Tornado

Labette County is 9-1 against Field Kindley since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Labette County Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Field Kindley Golden Tornado at 6:00 p.m. Labette County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Labette County took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pittsburg with a sharp 49-29 victory. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Labette County can attribute much of their success to Landry Obrien, who posted 13 points and six steals, and Amery Baker, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Obrien is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kinsley Boss was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Field Kindley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Scott.

Field Kindley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Labette County, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

Labette County came out on top in a nail-biter against Field Kindley when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 47-45. Will Labette County repeat their success, or does Field Kindley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
