Baseball Recap: Struthers Find Success

Struthers hadn't done well against Lakeview recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 10-6. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 14-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Isaac Wolfe looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Anthony Pastella was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. JR Hovanec was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The win got Struthers back to even at 1-1. As for Lakeview, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Struthers will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
