Sutherland came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Batavia Blue Devils on the board, marking their second-straight 3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sutherland was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-11, 25-10.

Jessie Powers paced Sutherland's offense, picking up ten kills. Powers got some help from Chloe Cunniffe and her 17 assists. Cunniffe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Sutherland's record is now 31-2-2. As for Batavia, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Sutherland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Brighton on the 14th. Batavia has also already played their next match (against Pittsford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
