Basketball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern was the 44-42 winner over Taylor when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Northwestern Tigers fell 45-36 to the Taylor Titans on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylor got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Javionne Harris out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Harris is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last nine games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Drey Mcclatchey, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Taylor, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Northwestern and Frankfort will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Northwestern is facing Frankfort at the right time seeing as Frankfort is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Taylor, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Delphi Community at 7:00 p.m.
