Softball Recap: Nelsonville-York Buckeyes vs. River Valley Raiders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Meigs, Nelsonville-York was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the River Valley Raiders by a score of 8-5. For the Buckeyes, this counts as revenge for the 15-1 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Lilly Gura spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. Those hits were her first of the season.
