Basketball Recap: Lehi Pioneers vs. American Fork Cavemen
Lehi lost against American Fork back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lehi Pioneers fell just short of the American Fork Cavemen by a score of 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pioneers have suffered since December 20, 2023.
Lehi's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Easton Hawkins, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saxon Young, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Bryce Mella was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 15 en route to 16 points and seven boards for American Fork. Cael Flinders was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.
