Basketball Recap: Gilead Christian Gets the Win

Gilead Christian was handed a 20-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They skirted past Coshocton Christian 46-44. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 52-44 loss the last time these two teams met.

Talan Blankenship was a one-man wrecking crew for Gilead Christian as he went 8 for 16 on his way to 22 points. Gage Beacom was another key player, putting up eight points.

Gilead Christian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Coshocton Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Gilead Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-38 win against Varsity Opponent on the 23rd. As for Coshocton Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Warsaw W at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
