Basketball Recap: Campbell Continues Home Dominance on Friday

After losing to Conant the last time they met, Campbell decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Campbell enjoyed a cozy 63-45 victory over the Conant Orioles on Friday. Given Campbell's advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Conant is ranked 58th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campbell's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Conant, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Campbell will welcome Belmont at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Belmont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Campbell likes a good challenge. As for Conant, they will head out on the road to challenge Hillsboro-Deering at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Conant is facing Hillsboro-Deering at the right time seeing as Hillsboro-Deering is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
