Volleyball Recap: Manila Mustangs vs. Tabiona Tigers
Manila was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tabiona Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.
Manila took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 18-25, 25-14, 15-9.
Tabiona was led to victory by Kayela Gines and Bella Gines. Kayela had 28 assists and four aces, while Bella had 16 assists and eight digs. With that strong performance, Kayela is now averaging an impressive 12.6 assists per game.
Manila's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Tabiona, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
