Sanford's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 50-18 win over the Fowler Grizzlies. Considering the Mustangs have won three games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jd Faucette threw for 57 yards and one touchdown. Kaden Cary was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Trason Gartrell rushed for 246 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per carry.

Although Fowler took the loss, they still got scores from Demetrius Alvarez, Brock True, and Garrett Pharr.

Sanford's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Fowler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Sanford and Norwood will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Mavericks have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Fowler, they will venture away from home to challenge Sangre de Cristo at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
