Recap: Bunkie Panthers vs. Alexandria Trojans
The Bunkie Panthers lost against the Alexandria Trojans back in November of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bunkie had to suffer through a rough 53-22 loss at the hands of Alexandria. Bunkie has not had much luck with Alexandria recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Jaylin Johnson was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points for Alexandria. Jordyn Johnson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Bunkie's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-10. As for Alexandria, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bunkie will take on Caldwell Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alexandria, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Ouachita at 7:00 p.m. West Ouachita will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Alexandria is ranked 28th).
