Basketball Game Preview: Pulaski County Maroons vs. Henry Clay Blue Devils

The Pulaski County Maroons will take on the Henry Clay Blue Devils in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Pulaski County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Pulaski County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wayne County, but they still walked away with a 53-49 victory. The 53-point effort marked the Maroons' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Henry Clay). They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 90-60 win over East Jessamine. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 25 points or more this season.

Henry Clay pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26 points. As for Pulaski County, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Pulaski County came up short against Henry Clay in their previous matchup back in January, falling 49-43. Can Pulaski County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
