Basketball Recap: Milak Myatt's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Life Center Academy over Episcopal School of Dallas

Life Center Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles, falling 90-64. The Warriors lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 65-63 score last time.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Milak Myatt, who made all 6 shots he took for 18 points. Myatt's morning made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was King Josiah Dunkley-Hamilton, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points.

Life Center Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Life Center Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 85-29 victory against Mercy Career & Technical on the 11th. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, they will face off against McKinney Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
