Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Rim of the World's Winning Streak + How To Watch

After flying high against Notre Dame last Thursday, Rim of the World came back down to earth. The Fighting Scots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Gorgonio Spartans on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 4th.

Rim of the World was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made San Gorgonio work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 26-24.

Jaelyn Granado paced Rim of the World's offense, picking up 20 kills. Granado got some help from Brynn Bagnell and her 32 assists.

The loss snapped Rim of the World's winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 12-12 record. As for San Gorgonio, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8.

Rim of the World didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rialto on the 2nd. San Gorgonio does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
