Softball Recap: Holcomb Longhorns vs. Colby Eagles
Holcomb put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Colby Eagles. Six seems to be a good number for Holcomb as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Korryn Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts every time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Emma Cornelsen was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
On Colby's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Bellamy, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
