Volleyball Recap: Joliet Catholic Takes Down Brooks in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Joliet Catholic walked away with it. They came out on top against the Brooks Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hilltoppers.

Joliet Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Selinger, who had nine aces and six digs. Those nine aces gave Selinger a new career-high. Ella Godeaux was another key player, getting 14 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Joliet Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Joliet Catholic's record is now 7-22. As for Brooks, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

As of now, neither Joliet Catholic nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
