Valley View lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pittston, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's   contest. The Cougars never let the Patriots get on the board and left with  a   16-0  victory  on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 15 matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Taylor Cawley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Kalli Karwowski was  incredible,  going a perfect 5-for-5 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and four  runs. Those  five  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Emily Moyles was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Valley View  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pittston only posted  an  OBP of  .053.
Valley View has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2-1 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Pittston,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-8.
 Coming up, Valley View will face off against Delaware Valley at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Pittston, they will square off against Hazleton Area at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
