The Century Diamondbacks will square off against the Twin Falls Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Century sitting on nine straight wins and Twin Falls on three.
Century is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Columbia 49-21. The Diamondbacks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Justus Mangum produced another solid effort rushing for 194 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 83 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 104.8 rushing yards per game. Tito Villano was another key player, rushing for 110 yards and three scores.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Century was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 346 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Century didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braxton Jablonski and Adrian Gonzalez. Gonzalez has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, Twin Falls got themselves on the board against Ridgevue on Friday, but Ridgevue never followed suit. They breezed past the Warhawks to the tune of 38-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bruins just coasted through the last quarter.
Century better keep an eye on Jackson Sattelberg. He was instrumental in Twin Falls' win, rushing for 146 yards and one TD while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those 146 rushing yards gave Sattelberg a new career-high.
Century's record now sits at 9-0. As for Twin Falls, their record is now 8-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Century has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 187.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Twin Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 173.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Century was dealt a bruising 56-8 loss at the hands of Twin Falls in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Can the Diamondbacks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
