Academy of the Sacred Heart posted their closest win since September 12th on Thursday. They skirted past the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks 3-2. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Chipmunks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Academy of the Sacred Heart who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 31-29, 25-27, 15-9.

When it comes to explaining why Archbishop Chapelle lost, don't look at Avah Gilchrist. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and one assist.

Academy of the Sacred Heart has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Archbishop Chapelle, the loss snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 13-7 record.
