Seven must be Brookings's lucky number: they beat Mitchell with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Bobcats didn't even let the Kernels on the board, marking the Bobcats' second-straight 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Brookings and bumps their season record up to 7-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Mitchell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Coming up, Brookings will take on Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
