Softball Recap: Alton Takes a Loss

Alton managed to slip by Summersville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets lost 20-10 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 13-12.

Alton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-12. As for Summersville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Alton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 win against Winona on the 13th. As for Summersville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-1 loss against Bernie on the 14th.
