Ridgewood put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Taft Eagles. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Ridgewood got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 21-25, 15-8.

Monika Bartak paced Ridgewood's offense, picking up ten kills. Bartak got some help from Victoria Gawedzki and her ten assists. Finally, Peyton Sabbini kept Ridgewood's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Ridgewood's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Taft, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ridgewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Amundsen on the 20th. As for Taft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Fenton on the 20th.
