Volleyball Recap: El Dorado Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

El Dorado posted their closest win since September 15th on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Union Mine Diamondbacks. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day El Dorado got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-13.

Sofia Rodriguez was nothing short of spectacular: she had 36 digs and nine assists. Those 36 digs gave her a new career-high.

El Dorado has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Union Mine, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-4 record this season.
