Basketball Recap: Wayland Academy Comes Up Short

Wayland Academy suffered their biggest loss since February 19, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Oakfield Oaks, falling 51-31. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Big Red's biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Wayland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Oakfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Wayland Academy has already played their next matchup, an 81-60 victory against Rio on the 10th. As for Oakfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-55 win against Central Wisconsin Christian on the 11th.
