Baseball Game Preview: Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles vs. Walter Johnson Wildcats

The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles will head out to challenge the Walter Johnson Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seneca Valley has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seneca Valley managed to slip by Wheaton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Screamin' Eagles lost 13-0 to the Knights on Thursday. The Screamin' Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Walter Johnson waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Walter Johnson's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Seneca Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Seneca Valley might still be hurting after the 21-0 defeat they got from Walter Johnson when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Screamin' Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
