Soccer Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

Alhambra was the 2-0 winner over Miramonte when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Alhambra Bulldogs fell just short of the Miramonte Matadors by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1016th, while the Matadors are ranked 429th).

Alhambra is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Miramonte, their record is now 3-1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alhambra will challenge Berean Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alhambra is facing Berean Christian at the right time seeing as Berean Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Miramonte, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Pinole Valley at 5:00 p.m.
