Volleyball Recap: Dillon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marlboro County last Thursday, Dillon came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Aynor Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-20.

Aynor can attribute much of their success to Mia Cole, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most digs Cole has posted over her last six matchups.

Dillon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Aynor, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dillon is set to face off against their familiar foe Loris at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Aynor will take on rival Waccamaw at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
