After a string of four wins, Greenwood's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenville Christian Saints. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Saints are ranked 29th).

Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Greenville Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Greenwood has already played their next game, a 60-53 loss against Greenville on the 12th. Greenville Christian will take on Rossville Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 4:15 p.m. on December 20th.
