Basketball Recap: Union Grove Wolverines vs. Dutchtown Bulldogs

In what's become a running theme this season, the Union Grove Wolverines gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Dutchtown 61-30 on the road. Union Grove is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Brooks, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Brooks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. Julia Baker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.

Union Grove pushed their record up to 23-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Dutchtown, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Grove is on the road again on Friday and plays the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Eagle's Landing will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Wolverines are ranked seventh). As for Dutchtown, they will head out on the road to challenge the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jones County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
