Basketball Recap: Vancleave Comes Up Short

Vancleave lost against Gautier on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vancleave Bulldogs took a blow against the Gautier Gators, falling 100-47. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Gators are ranked 137th).

Vancleave's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Gautier, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

Vancleave will welcome Stone at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gautier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
