Preview: Fort Lupton Bluedevils vs. DSST: Montview Knights
Fort Lupton has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the DSST: Montview Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Fort Lupton is ranked 291st, while the Knights are ranked 301st).
Last Tuesday, Fort Lupton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to the Generals.
Despite the loss, Fort Lupton had strong showings from Daniella Aviles, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds, and Zaylee Chavez, who scored 12 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aviles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Gallegos, who scored two points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, DSST: Montview was able to grind out a solid win over the White Tigers on Tuesday, taking the game 35-23.
Fort Lupton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for DSST: Montview, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
