Baseball Recap: Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Comes Up Short

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] Northern Freeze. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Northern Freeze this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 on Monday.

Chase Lorenson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Payton Gust was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County], they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
