Softball Game Preview: Montgomery Aztecs vs. Southwest SD Raiders

For the second straight game, Montgomery will face off against Southwest SD. The Aztecs will face off against the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Montgomery took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 17-14 win over Southwest SD. The Aztecs haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

For Southwest SD's part, Romina Diaz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mykaela Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Montgomery's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Southwest SD, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
