Basketball Recap: Corvian Community Cardinals vs. Community School of Davidson Spartans
Corvian Community entered their game against Community School of Davidson on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Corvian Community Cardinals took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Community School of Davidson Spartans. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 83-76.

RJ Moore Jr. and Doug Quarles III certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Moore Jr. went 12-for-25 on his way to 29 points, while Quarles III dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. Quarles III is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 67% in the last seven games he's played. Maxwell Garvin also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Even though they lost, Corvian Community smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive contests.
Community School of Davidson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances.
