Softball Recap: Priest River Drops Highest Score of Season Against Kellogg

Priest River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 30-20 to the Kellogg Wildcats. On the bright side, the 20- run effort marked the Spartans' highest-scoring match to date.

Rylie Hansen led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Desarai Humphrey, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Priest River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Kellogg, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Priest River will head out to challenge Troy at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kellogg, they will take on Bonners Ferry at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
