Volleyball Recap: Huntington Takes a Loss

Huntington lost against Herbert Hoover back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Highlanders fell 2-0 to the Huskies. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Herbert Hoover scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Herbert Hoover got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braelyn Adkins out in front who had 13 digs and one assist. Adkins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Huntington's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-2. As for Herbert Hoover, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2-1 record this season.

Huntington has already played their next match (against South Charleston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Herbert Hoover also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Nitro.
