Football Recap: Bainbridge-Guilford Comes Up Short

Bainbridge-Guilford was the 36-18 winner over Sidney when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell just short of the Team by a score of 16-14 on Friday. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Conner Davy threw for 112 yards and one TD while completing 90% of his passes. Isaiah Hampton was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards. On the ground, Parker Buttice rushed for 67 yards.

Bainbridge-Guilford dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Sidney, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Bainbridge-Guilford will square off against Walton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sidney, they will challenge Deposit-Hancock on Friday. Sidney will be up against Deposit-Hancock's rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
