Basketball Game Preview: Hazen Wildcats vs. Northfield Marauders

Hazen has gone 8-2 against Northfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hazen Wildcats will host the Northfield Marauders at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Hazen's favor as the team sits on 16 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Northfield has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Hazen against Stowe as the squad secured a 72-6 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 31 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Northfield ended up a good deal behind Bellows Free Academy on Friday and lost 44-27.

Hazen's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Northfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Everything came up roses for Hazen against Northfield when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 69-9 victory. Will Hazen repeat their success, or does Northfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
