Basketball Game Preview: Anaheim Colonists vs. Orange Panthers

The Anaheim Colonists and the Orange Panthers will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, Anaheim had to suffer through a 86-34 loss at the hands of El Dorado. The match marked the Colonists' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Orange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against Corona, falling 81-45. Orange was down 61-35 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Anaheim, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Anaheim strolled past Orange when the teams last played back in April of 2021 by a score of 55-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anaheim since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
