Basketball Recap: Mullen Has No Trouble Against Brady

Mullen won the last time they faced Brady and things went their way on Friday too. The Mullen Broncos put the hurt on the Brady Eagles with a sharp 51-25 win. That looming 51-25 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Broncos yet this season.

Mullen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Walker led the charge by putting up nine points along with five assists and five steals. Walker has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Werner, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Mullen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Cinch Sanger and Payton Miller certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Sanger made all 5 shots he took for 10 points and three steals, while Miller posted ten points. That's the most points Miller has posted since back in December of 2023.

Mullen now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Brady, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Mullen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-31 loss against Wallace on the 11th. As for Brady, they will take on Overton on Tuesday.
