Softball Recap: West Catholic Falcons vs. Calvin Christian Squires
West Catholic couldn't beat Calvin Christian on Wednesday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the fifth inning. The Falcons lost 25-12 to the Squires. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Squires this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Wednesday.
Harper Perry made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. That home run was her first of the season. Cate Sanders was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
West Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Calvin Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-13.
