Softball Recap: West Catholic Comes Up Short

West Catholic couldn't beat Calvin Christian on Wednesday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the fifth inning. The Falcons lost 25-12 to the Squires. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Squires this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Wednesday.

Harper Perry made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. That home run was her first of the season. Cate Sanders was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

West Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Calvin Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-13.

Coming up, West Catholic will square off against Coopersville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvin Christian, they will challenge Fennville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
