Basketball Recap: Suffern Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

Suffern won the last time they faced Middletown and things went their way on Friday too. The Suffern Mounties came out on top against the Middletown Middie Bears by a score of 59-52. Given the Mounties' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Middie Bears are ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Suffern pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Suffern will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ketcham at 6:00 p.m. Suffern knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Ketcham likes a good challenge. As for Middletown, they will challenge Valley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Valley Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Middletown surely won't give up without a fight.
