Volleyball Recap: Clovis East Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clovis West last Thursday, Clovis East came back down to earth. The Timberwolves lost 3-0 to the Clovis Cougars on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Clovis East was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 25-17.

Clovis East's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-7. As for Clovis, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-1.

Clovis East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Central on the 3rd. As for Clovis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Clovis West on the 3rd.
