Softball Recap: Marsing Comes Up Short

Marsing was the 15-8 winner over Melba when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bailey Daugherty was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Kali-Jo Gabiola was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Marsing's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Melba, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Marsing wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 loss against Parma on the 30th. As for Melba, they have also already played their next game, an 18-3 defeat against Nampa Christian on the 29th.
