Baseball Game Preview: Central Kitsap Cougars vs. Lakes Lancers

The Central Kitsap Cougars will head out to take on the Lakes Lancers at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Central Kitsap has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Central Kitsap can't be too worried about heading out to take on Lakes: they just beat Gig Harbor at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Tides on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted against the Tides since April 19, 2022.

Meanwhile, Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against North Thurston, falling 13-1.

Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Central Kitsap, the victory got them back to even at 8-8-1.
