Basketball Recap: Aidan Jewell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Santa Fe over Ball

Santa Fe won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Ball Tornadoes, falling 66-44. The Indians have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Santa Fe lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aidan Jewell, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kaidan Mata, who put up 11 points.

Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Ball, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Angleton the next time they take the court. Ball will host Angleton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Santa Fe will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
